Hi! Welcome to my new blog :)

This blog is about my favorite music. I like this topic, cause I really love music <3 so I´m grateful to the teacher for leave me the freedom to chose this theme jj.

Let´s start: 

It´s difficult to me to pick only one musician/artist/band as my favorite, because I´ve always listened to music, and for that reason I always change my likes and my favorites musicians.

When I was a child, I loved Slash, Claudio Narea, TRONIC, blink-182, Gepe, PXNDX, Manuel García, and a big etc.

Lately I've admired a lot the singer of Soda Stereo: Gustavo Cerati; the chilean band Los Jaivas; the argentinian musician Luis Alberto Spinetta, and a lot of more musicians.

But, if I had to choose one musician that I have admired and still admire, it would be Cristóbal Briceño.

Cristóbal Briceño is a chilean prolific musician, leader of a big number of musical projects, like Ases Falsos (ex Fother Muckers), Las Chaquetas Amarillas, Los Mil Jinetes, Los Castigos, La Estrella Solitaria, and a biiiiiig etc.

I like him because he made a lot of good songs anytime. Just this year, he has released 2 albums; Esta Semana No Quiero Que Me Dirijas La Palabra (Cristóbal Briceño y Daniel de la Fuente), Amigo de lo Ajeno 3 (Cristóbal Briceño), and he will release even more music this year.

I think my favorite song of him is "Salto Alto", a song from the album Juventud Americana (2012). This song talk about the suicide and the madness of a drunk person in the Bellavista neighborhood and in the river Mapocho.

And if we talk about my favorite album of this musician, I can´t say just one, so I pick two jiji; Juventud Americana (Ases Falsos, 2014) and Briceño Contra Las Cuerdas (Cristóbal Briceño, 2019).

4. Education: Do private schools offer higher quality education or are they just prestigious?

Hi! In the today´s blog I´m going to talk about the private Education, and their quality in compare to the Public Education.

I believe that all people should be able to access a quality education, and the State must guarantee this. Now, as there is a private and a public system, there will always be a gap for the amount of money that enters each establishment. Obviously there will be some better than others, both in the public and private systems.

The most important problem is when this inequality is to big between the public and the private Education (like most of times happens in Chile). We can see cases such as the 'Nido De Aguilas', or the 'Verbo Divino', where they always obtain very good results in PSU, compared to most public schools. These are schools where each student pays 10 times the minimum salary in Chile on a monthly basis to study.

Now, we can debate about what is the problem with the Public Education. Is something about with the payment for the teachers, or about the bureaucracy that makes slower all the formalities to make it better, or the lower investment of the Goubernament to the Education in general.

Having a semi Private model, like the one we had years ago with subsidized private education is an oportunity to the people who can´t pay a totaly Private School, but want to opt for something better for their children.

3. Religion: Is religion important to you?

 Hi to everyone! I hope you liked the last blogs I have written, even though they were delivered a little late jijiji (sorry teacher).

Well, in this time I´m going to talk about the Religion, and if consider it important to me.

All my family believe in the Religion, the most are Catholic and a part is Christian. I tell you this because it´s obvious that my family affect my formation in this. When I was a kid, they told me that I always have to pray in the morning and in the night, and they talk to me about the heaven and about have a good conduct.

When I was a child my parents put me to do catechesis in the Catholic Church, and I remember that I never wanted to really go. Actually, I made up a lot of lies to my parents so I didn't have to go jeje.

So, when I grew up I realized that I had never believed in God, but not for a disrespectful reason. That was because there was no substantial evidence to make me believe. That doesn't make me an unbeliever, but rather an agnostic. Anyways I respect a lot the pople who chose to believe in something. Sometimes that gives to you the force to continue with your life.

2: Healthcare System

Hello! Here´s my second blog, and this one it´s gonna talk about the Healthcare System. In specific, I chose the topic: "What do you think of the health service in our country?", because it is interesting for me, and I think we can talk a lot about this theme in a country like Chile.

When we think in Chile (specially at present) we think in the protest of the Chilean people who ask, among many things, quality health. And why they ask that? Well, according to the site "radio.uchile.cl", three of four people thinks that the quality of the attention is bad on the public system. This is because a lot of people don´t have the money to pay a private hospital or a private attention with an specialist, so they need to go to the public system. Also, an excess of money of the Government of Chile go to things that aren´t so important (in comparation of the health of the people), like police, military, etc.

I think like most people that health in Chile is very bad, and that to access good care you need to pay too much money, something that is very unfair and to which few people can access. Things like increase the estimate of the country (as the finance minister did in the last budget) can improve this situation.

1. Politics: Is voting an important responsibility of a citizen?

 Hi to everyone! Welcome to my first post for English IV on my blog. I really hope you like it! :)

Today I will speak about my opinion of the voting and their importance.

When we are young we think that politics is not an important thing, and we do not appreciate the importance of voting and showing our opinion. But when we turn 18 and are officially adults, we can vote and make a choice for the rest of our life.

I have personally voted about three times since I can (the past year), because I turn 18 on March 2020. The first was on October 25 for the Nacional Plebiscite and it was really great. There was a great atmosphere in all the people (and in me too jeje). Since then I have voted in all the opportunities that I could.

I think voting is something important for the citizens of a country, but I understand that some people not believe in this, and I think it´s really fine.
